Hooked on Anime? Make These Crochet Anime Characters!
1. Boba Baby

For the thrill of collecting fantastic creatures, first on the list we have this adorable Boba Baby pattern by Beanie at Just_Yarny! I absolutely love this pattern, and this iconic and very recognizable character brings me right back to my childhood! Catch your very own grass and poison Pokemon with some plushy yarn and a crochet hook. Best of all, this pattern is completely free on her Instagram. Just click the link below and scroll through to find the instructions. Be sure to tag her in your creations if you give this one a try!
2. Low-Sew Squirtle Pattern

Within the same anime universe as the Boba Baby, we have this super cute pattern for Squirtle! Low-sew patterns always catch my attention, and I always appreciate the time a pattern designer takes to figure out how to make this part easier for the rest of us crocheters. It’s such a game changer!
Squirtle is one of the original three starter Pokemon from the original Pokemon games, and it has remained a beloved Pokemon character throughout the franchise. Now, you can create your very own!
I love that this pattern by 53 Stitches has a material list for both the small Squirtle and the larger, plushy Squirtle as well. This pattern also includes lots of pictures for each step, which is super helpful for both new and experienced crocheters alike.

3. Pikachub (Pikachu)
Last, but certainly not least, in the Pokemon universe is this Pikachub crochet pattern by Curious Papaya. Pikachu was my favorite character once upon a time, and I love this pattern! The embroidery detail on the faces is just so cute. There are two different versions of this pattern, to create one standing and one lying down. Got to love the versatility!
There are even video tutorials for this pattern posted on the pattern page as well, which is always a bonus!

4. Maomao From The Apothecary Diaries
Venture into the world of herbs, poisons, and medicine and bring Maomao to life! Amigurumi dolls are some of my favorite patterns to crochet. They are so charming and have so much detail. This pattern by Eleira’s Crochet is beautiful! The designer has truly captured this character from The Apothecary Diaries.
You can create your very own whimsical mystery solver by purchasing Eleira’s pattern here!
5. Mikasa Ackerman From Attack on Titan
Now, for my favorite character from my favorite anime: Mikasa Ackerman from Attack on Titan! I must confess that I have not seen many anime shows, but I got roped into this one and then just couldn’t stop watching! She’s such a strong female character with unwavering loyalty and amazing combat skills.
This crochet pattern by Aimy Fernandez is so adorable. The doll is so detailed, and she even includes her cape as well as her signature red scarf she carries everywhere in the anime series. This one is a must-make!

6. Zoro From One Piece
Aiming to be the world’s best swordsman, we have this super cute Zoro pattern by Crochethea! Zoro is the first member to join Monkey D. Luffy’s crew as their fighter/combatant. Don’t be fooled by his appalling sense of direction! This guy is loyal, dedicated, and strong.
I love the simplicity of this pattern, yet it captures the character perfectly. The removable bandana is such a nice touch as well!

7. P-Chan From Ranma 1/2
Or, why not create the adorable pig form of Ryoga Hibiki as P-Chan from Ranma 1/2? You’re sure to want to give this guy as many cuddles as Akane Tendo gives him in the anime! This pattern by Ami Amour was designed as a tribute to the reboot of the show. This pattern is so cute, and she has patterns for each of the other characters in the show as well, including Mousse the Duck and Shampoo the Cat.
8. Saitama From One-Punch Man
If defeating your enemies with just one punch is more your thing, why not make Saitama from One-Punch Man? The boredom Saitama shows for life due to his unmatched power adds such a unique element of humor to this anime. This crochet pattern by Crochethea captures the character perfectly, and I love all the small details, such as the buttons on his cape and the buckle on his belt, that really bring him to life!

9. Pantherlily From Fairy Tail
Next up, we have Pantherlily from the popular anime, Fairy Tail! The crochet pattern by Ami Amour includes instructions for everything you need to make this adorable character, including the green pants and the details for creating the face. This one would make a great cuddly gift for the Fairy Tail fan in your life, as Pantherlily will stand about 12 inches tall when finished.
10. Chuuya Nakahara From Bungo Stray Dogs
For the lovers of Bungo Stray Dogs, you can create your favorite gravity manipulating mafia executive, Chuuya Nakahara! This crochet pattern by Julie Rumi is adorable, and it has a lot of great reviews from other crocheters who have made him using this pattern. Give this one a try!
You can find the pattern here.
11. Nezuko From Demon Slayer
And, of course, we can’t forget everybody’s favorite demon girl, Nezuko! This crochet pattern by Crochethea is amazing! Her design really captures the character and brings her to life. Crochethea mentions the pattern does have a lot of small pieces and is very detailed, but she said she made the pattern as simple as possible.
Best of all, the pattern is free, and she even links to her patterns for other characters in the show as well. Before you know it, you could create the entire cast for yourself!
And that’s it for this week’s roundup of beautiful crochet patterns by these talented crochet artists! I hope this post inspired you for your next crochet project, or inspired you to add to that ever-growing, never-ending list of awaiting projects!
